The Steam Overlay will actually work! If you don't know how to do any of that, feel free to watch the video or just follow my simple steps. The solution is quite simple, but it works: Both, Steam and Grand Theft Auto V, have to be manually run as an administrator which can be changed in the properties of the shortcuts! After doing that, you can add Grand Theft Auto V as a non-steam game to Steam and then start it over Steam.
